Womb Work & Birth Support
My Mission: Holding Space for Black & Underserved Families.
Black women are three times more likely to die during childbirth in the U.S. than white women. These are not just numbers; they’re realities our communities have lived through for generations. But I believe that culturally rooted care saves lives.
My mission as a doula is to help Black and underserved families navigate the birthing journey with confidence, clarity, and care. From attending doctor appointments, preparing for birth plans, supporting bed rest, and educating around birthing options, to being there through delivery, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and the emotional waves that follow, I offer real support for every stage of the journey. Not just for mamas, but for the whole family.
I don’t just speak about healthcare inequity, I’ve lived it. I went into labor at just 29 weeks. I spent a month and a half in the hospital on bed rest trying to keep my son safe. He spent four months in the NICU, fighting to grow through his first days. I’ve experienced the emotional, spiritual, and physical toll of premature birth, postpartum uncertainty, and the weight of navigating a system that often overlooks us.
With a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and deep roots in community mental health and holistic healing, I bring not only education—but empathy. As I complete my formal doula certification, I continue walking alongside mothers, fathers, and families with care, compassion, and cultural grounding.
Whether it’s support during bed rest, helping with your newborn so you can rest, or being a steady voice in the exam room, I’m here to remind you: you don’t have to walk this alone.
